Michael Kevin Walsh Roofing Awarded DaVinci Roofscapes 2020 Project of the Year Award

Feb 20, 2021

Walsh Roofing is known for its use of traditional roofing products and techniques. While many products arrive in supplier warehouses each year, few are superior to traditional materials.

When it comes to shake roofs, cedar is king. The look and performance of true cedar shake is truly a statement of luxury. Unfortunately, the true cedar shake also comes with an increased risk for fire damage. As a result, many home insurers are raising premiums on homes with cedar shake roofs and often times refusing to cover them altogether. Fortunately DaVinci Roofscapes has developed a synthetic shake material that gives the same look, while outperforming traditional shake in many different ways.

A superior fire rating and long lasting color are just two reasons DaVinci shake is a great option for homeowners. The product comes with a lifetime warranty and is available in many different styles and profiles to give homeowner’s many unique options.

Mike Walsh and his team became acquainted with DaVinci in 2016 and have completed over 50,000 sqft of product installation since then.

“The product is consistent, easy to work with, and high quality.”- Mike Walsh

Each year DaVinci recognizes superior craftsmanship in installing their projects. The 2020 DaVinci Masterpiece Contractor of the Year Award went to Walsh Roofing for a roof replacement using Bellaforte’ Shake. The project was a single family home in Stuart that featured many pyramidal structures. The roof had an 8:12 slope and featured many details such as tubular skylights and flat roof sections. Not only was the project very detail oriented, it was large in scale. Coming it at over 10,000 square feet the project was sizable for a single family residence.
